My path to becoming an acupuncturist was far from conventional if indeed there is a normal way that practitioners come to Chinese medicine and acupuncture. After 20 years of serving as a Detective Inspector in the police force, primarily in Child Protection, I found acupuncture at a turning point in my life while seeking to improve my own overall health. I was amazed by how the precise placement of fine needles could activate the body's natural healing processes. The science behind it and the results I saw fascinated me, and I quickly became passionate about this practice.
After having my daughter, I knew I wanted to shift my focus to a career that would allow me to continue helping others in a meaningful way. I pursued a degree in Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine and opened my clinic in Bournemouth, Dorset — a tranquil space where clients can find peace, healing and compassionate care.

As a women’s health focussed acupuncturist, my mission is to support and empower clients to optimise their well-being throughout all stages of life. My expertise covers all areas of women’s health, from menstruation to post-menopause. I also specialise in fertility support, whether you’re trying to conceive for the first time, facing unexplained infertility, experiencing pregnancy loss, undergoing IVF or dealing with male factor infertility. I work closely with fertility clinics and consultants to provide personalised, patient-centred treatments, ensuring you receive the guidance, care, and support you need every step of the way.
Additionally, as the regional affiliate of Hannah Pearn London, a leading group of fertility specialists and educators - I have access to the latest fertility tests and treatments, keeping you informed with the most up-to-date and effective options available to you. I am also a member of The Acupuncture Fertility Network , a professional organisation for acupuncturists with advanced postgraduate training in fertility. Being part of this collaborative and integrated team allows us to share knowledge and expertise, ensuring that our patients receive the highest level of care and support.
